Bronwyn Gruet

Bronwyn is an illustrator, designer, and maker. She has an abiding passion for visual storytelling, and above all wants to make things that delight people. After earning her BFA in Illustration from Rhode Island School of Design, she worked in Boston and the Bay area. These days she lives in Durham, NC with her husband and two calico cats.

Bronwyn is a delightful human and a fantastic designer. Her creative whimsy shines through all of her work. In this method, Bronwyn shows how she uses sketchbook doodles to create a seamless pattern for use in a variety of mediums. Creating patterns from illustrated elements evokes memories of mid-century Golden Books endpapers, revealing a delightful way to craft a narrative with rhythm and color.
